Plumbing Warning Message

No More Scams, Problems, or Horror Stories: How We Are Your Plumbing Solution!

Better a little with righteousness, than much gain with injustice. – Proverbs 16:8

Have you or someone you know been caught up in the plumbing scam sweeping the New Jersey area? In some shops, hired salespeople, not dedicated plumbers poke at your sewer line to free up a stoppage without the necessary good faith efforts to actually scrape your line clear of roots, scale and debris. In order for them to perform this vital service properly, they need to use aggressive cutting heads, attached to heavy duty equipment.

How the Plumbing Scam Works and How to Spot It Ahead of Time

The scam is not as easy to spot as you think. A loss leader price of approximately $90 to clear any drain is repeatedly advertised. One day, your sewer drain is clogged, and so you make the call.

A well-polished “plumber” shows up on time and is perceived as serving you expertly and honestly. Pretending to work aggressively, this person will get the sewer line running again, using only a point instead of a scale busting, root sheering cutting head. Once the minimalist effort has taken place and the water has gone down, the unscrupulous “salesperson” offers you a “free” camera inspection, which shows you how “terrible” the line is and precedes to leverage you into buying an overpriced “emergency” sewer line replacement.

If you refuse, no problem! Without any consent, you have already been setup for future sales opportunities by way of their one year guarantee to keep the line clear and running free. All this for $90? Nothing can go wrong at this point, right? The problem is, the line will not stay clear and free of clogs for long. They knowingly keep you in bondage and frustration as they put their interest in profits first as they return to repeat the “sales” process over and over again. This results in your valuable time wasted, disruption to your home life, and frustration. To make matters worse, your likely to have to defend against aggressive sales techniques pointed at your homes heating and cooling equipment.

Their sales process is very simple:

1. Pretend to perform the sewer cleaning service correctly
2. Camera the sewer for “free”
3. Return and do the service again for “free”
4. Wear you down until you buy an overpriced replacement sewer

What to Do If Your Sewer Main Is Clogged

Once your plumber is onsite and has a chance to survey the problem, insist on a firm price in writing before the work is started. Then watch; really watch to see that indeed aggressive cutting heads are being used, attached to heavy-duty equipment (Ours weighs in at well over two hundred pounds!). To get the best results possible, the sewer cleaning cutting heads should be applied to the entire length of your sewer multiple times.

Union County Sewer and Drain Service

Most sewer stoppages only need a thorough, honest cleaning by a capable company. It takes a company with real integrity and the application of aggressive cutting heads attached to heavy-duty equipment to service your sewer issue properly. The end result should be a long lasting, stoppage-free sewer drain. Granted, some sewers do fail and need to be repaired or replaced due to old age, incorrect pitch and reoccurring root infestation, but the vast majority just needs to be cleaned properly. And never, NEVER flush anything down into your drain lines other than toilet paper; all other personal hygiene items should be disposed of by other means.

If you don’t believe these companies are being deceptive and have poor business practices, just Google “$99 Dollar Drain Cleaning Lawsuits”, and see what comes up!

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. – John 1:5
